Citations of Merit Honor Pharmacy Innovators
The Citation of Merit is the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy’s highest award, honoring distinguished pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. This year, four worthy leaders, including three Badger pharmacy alumni, are the awardees: Chris Decker, Roger Tung (PhD ’87), Jim De Muth (MS ’72, PhD ’74), and Ibrahim Jalal (PhD ’78).

A unique room in the School of Pharmacy is helping Professor Paul Hutson study the unique properties of psychedelic compounds and their potential to treat difficult mental health conditions. In an upcoming study, Hutson and his team are targeting PTSD with MDMA.

2019 PSW LEGISLATIVE DAY

Each year, the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin hosts a day of legislative action.
The event brings hundreds of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists together to meet with Wisconsin legislators, hear from Wisconsin pharmacy leaders, and learn about current issues and pharmacy-related legislation in the works.
